Like many service companies, Darbonne Services, Inc. (DSI) began on a shoestring. With 25 years of petrochemical experience and an economy decimated by the oil crisis, Johnny Darbonne, Sr. Began offering what he had needed as a plant supervisor: quality, reliability, and efficiency.

In 1983, the Darbonne staff included Johnny, who made sales calls and handled each job, and his wife Ethel, who managed the office. Within a year, there was an occasional employee.

Today, DSI is a conglomerate of more than 40 certified technicians, a manufacturing division, research and development, and an unsurpassed safety and training division.

What began as a partnership between husband and wife in 1983, has since evolved into a nationally recognized leader in both tracer gas testing and fugitive emissions monitoring
